Sundance Exotic Fruits
Locally grown in San Diego, California, the Buddha’s Hand citron is used for the manufacture of candied peel and to light up a room with its fragrance. In some areas of China, it’s thought to bring good luck. The fruit consists mostly of a yellow-colored skin that looks like a huge, rough lemon. Its dry flesh can be either sweet or sour, and has a weak lemon flavor. Its tentacles produce an uncanny resemblance to fingers, hence its unusual name.
Buddha’s Hand citron offers a pleasantly unique and rather resinous fragrance, and is often used like grated lemon peel.
